Finding beauty in the ordinary.

I’m Ro—an endlessly curious observer of life with a deep appreciation for the connections that make us human. Over the past decade, I’ve worked in the tech industry in operational and support roles, where I’ve learned how vital compassion and mindfulness are in fast-paced, ever-changing environments. Along the way, I’ve discovered how much I value creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported.

For me, life is about connection—whether it’s exploring new cultures, meeting new people, or simply making someone feel welcome. I find joy in writing, traveling, and sharing stories, all with the hope of leaving the world a little better than I found it.

In my thirties, I see my life as an ongoing story. The experiences I’ve had so far have shaped who I am, but I know there’s so much more to learn, explore, and contribute. My goal is to keep growing, to keep connecting, and to find ways to have a meaningful impact—on both the environment and the people I share this world with.

I’d love to stay connected—there’s so much we can learn from one another!

Why Rostandsup?

Good question! The name “Rostandsup” has roots in a chapter of my life where I explored improv and even dreamed of trying stand-up comedy. I love watching stand up and comedy, at its core, is often about turning personal experiences and life’s little quirks into something relatable and cathartic. It became my way of processing pain, finding humor in hard times, and sharing observations about the world around me.

Eventually, I realised that writing gave me a similar outlet—a space to capture those same observations, reflections, and musings, without the knee knocking act of practicing stand up at an open mic. Rostandsup became the natural evolution of that journey: a blog where I could stand up (in a metaphorical sense) and share the things that make me laugh, think, and grow.
